October 2018

This October we took our first "tiger family trip" to St. George and visited Aunt Marce. We had so much fun on family hikes and Brad was relieved to see that his precious Tripple T.Js is still holding strong. It was busier than we have ever seen Zions and the shuttle driver said that it was the light season! But it was perfect beautiful southern Utah fall weather. Jefferson LOVES hiking and even found a turtle in the wild. He also LOVES skipping rocks and who would have thought but Brad is a pro with that skill. This year we embraced the season of Halloween. Jefferson loves to decorate for seasons and so we got some lights for our porch and had fun with decorating pumpkins with stickers. We dressed up as "The Farmer in the Dale" as a family and did lots of fun fall activities with family and friends.  Jefferson is almost 4 years old and drew his first picture ever- a family portrait. He loves doing puzzles, art projects and building anything he can. He is in swim lessons and advancing quickly to stroke positions. He is a little fish in the water and after the initial separation anxiety outburst and a whole lotta behavior intervention he is doing great letting us go. It seems like every time he faces something new his separation anxiety flares up. Carter is 4 months old and a healthy happy little bug. He loves his ball and is getting more and more animated. The other day he laughed for all of us and we couldn't imagine a sweeter sound.

September 2018

This September we did a joint blessing with Carter's cousin Liam.  They wore matching outfits (per Brad's request, haha, yeah right).  The grandmas were thrilled and loved it.  We have been spending a lot of time playing as a family and enjoying our little boys, harvesting peaches, making rockets with cousin Dixie, Oktoberfest, train rides, Rock N' Ribs as Utah fans, and dinners with lots of family and friends.  Carter is our GQ little bug at 3 months and can successfully roll over on occasion and is sleeping better through the night.  He loves to make faces with his brother and be cuddled lots and lots.  Brad got the first laugh out of Carter!  Jefferson started his first soccer team and we're so proud of our Goose/Duke kicking the ball and being on his first team, though quite humorous watching a beehive of kids run behind the ball.  Jefferson is the best big brother, sharing toys with Carter, checking on him when he is fussy, and sharing his high chair.  Brad was able to go see one of his favorite groups, Slash and the Conspirators featuring Myles Kennedy (youtube Slash Anastasia, it will blow your mind, evidence that rock and roll still lives and hope for music).  And Mary took Angie to an epic place, Chedda Burger, for her birthday lunch.  We had a fun September and are ready for cooler weather.
