This year for Spring Break my good friend Erica and I went on a cruise to Mexico in order to take advantage of our first full week of spring break working for the school district. Brad isn't a fan of cruises so I figured this was my chance to go on one. Instead he took off a few days earlier to present his dissertation research in a NYC conference. Woohoo for Brad! Erica and I had a blast on our road trip and cruise. It was relaxing and just what I needed.

Lunch + Shopping=
the perfect girl time with mom!
As a post birthday lunch mom and I went out this snowy April saturday to enjoy a fun old time Hollywood cafe lunch at the new Sunset Boulevard Cafe in Holladay. This place was perfect for two girls who love grilled cheese and old movies. They had 7 different Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwiches and pictures of the old time movie stars all around the walls. They even had a big screen projecting clips from An Affair to Remember. On each table they had famous movie lines so mom and I took turns guessing the movies. It was the perfect fun for a snowy saturday afternoon.
After our fun lunch we perused the boutique shops in the area. A few fun gifts were bought and we ended the afternoon with a cookie from The Sweet Tooth Fairy. I never knew there were so many fun local shops in the area. We were in SLC but it felt like a NYC afternoon minus all of the traffic and throngs of people.
