We had quite the summer adventures this year. In the cool days of June we enjoyed our backyard, fun with cousins, a few lake days, summer concerts, hiking, fishing, making a boxcar and a bridge for the train and the first days of learning how to ride a bike. Not to mention every day spending a good amount of time with Spanish dual immersion videos and activities. And then for the ultimate Spanish adventure we went with some friends to Mexico for a true immersion experience. We stayed for 3 weeks with a family in Ensenada who only speaks Spanish and Jefferson had a blast playing with all the kids. Carter was a movie star with his blond hair and big blue/green eyes. Every day in Mexico was an adventure. It was an experience we are very grateful for and we will never forget. Brad took a business trip back east while we were gone and explored Pittsburgh and West Virginia Brad picked us up in Ensenada and stayed for a day so we could show him around. And then we continued our family vacation a few days in San Diego and a few more days in Las Vegas (with a pool in our backyard!). We came home to our Dennis cousins visiting and played with them for a few days. Jefferson went on the Alpine slide for the first time and Carter met some of his cousins for the first time and had his first hair cut. What a summer! Love this little family.
