May 2018

This May we celebrated Brad's birthday with a donut tower, a birthday week of fun activities, and a delicious Tai diner with friends. Birthday weeks are so fun at our house that Jefferson has started asking if it is his birthday week or making up that it is his stuffed animals birthday week.
Dixie and Jefferson dressed up as pirates for Jane's pirate bday party. Jefferson was the "wee pirate."

Jefferson surprised me with homemade flowers for mothers day. He is such a sweet boy.

We welcomed Liam and Inez into the family. Jefferson is starting to better understand that a little baby is growing in mama's stomach. He was so sweet meeting his new cousins.
Jefferson's best friend Emiliano moved away. We tried showing him a map and that his friend is moving to a new state. We went to say goodbye and Jefferson gave him a card with an airplane on it. He gave him a big hug when we left but on Sunday asked where Emiliano was. It hasn't sunk it quite yet.
It's been a nice cool rainy May so we have had fun inside building forts. On the nice days we have been playing outside. Jefferson went to his first baseball game. We met up with some friends at Living Traditions and discovered some new foods.

Jefferson is 3 1/2 and excited to meet his baby brother. He is loving Thomas the Train and has given us all train names. He is a chatty little guy and has lots of Jeffersonisms like "stopping sign," "dumping truck," "wash wee paws (wash little hands)," "bean cereal (Raisin Bran)" and makes us laugh all the time . He loves his trains, cars, and trucks. He loves helping us clean and cook. He is still a cuddler especially after naps- such a sweet boy.

April 2018

This April we celebrated Easter with a few egg hunts in the community and our annual Jefferson family egg hunt and brunch. Jefferson is starting to understand the concept of picking up eggs because they might have a candy. But he does not understand the concept of speed and spends him time shaking each egg to make sure there is something inside. Silly goose.
We have spent almost every weekend in April doing some sort of outdoor project/yard work. Probably some nesting need, ha ha. But our yard is looking beautiful and we are ready to plant our garden and flowers in May.
Jefferson and Dixie are both excited to be getting little brothers soon. We hope they are as close as these two.
