October 2020

This October we finally found a mask Carter will wear- thanks to Liam leaving it in our car. So Carter can join the mask club- at least for 20 or so minutes. We enjoyed the Alpine loop scenic drive to see all the fall colors and lunched at beautiful Secret Lake. Jefferson (absolutely loving kindergarten) had a special show and tell where he needed to tell about someone brave and told them about his cousin Tanner who is in the military. We visited the pumpkin patch and the boys picked out their pumpkins with the stipulation that they had to be able to carry it by themselves. Our zucchini plant exploded and we left a basket on our lawn for our neighbors- all of which was taken. We finally made it to the daybreak car show and Jefferson learned about Herbie. We made our pumpkins super scary with lots of eyes watching and made cupcakes for our family Halloween party. We dressed up as a king, queen, knight, and baby dragon. Our Halloween party ended up being mostly outside due to the covid situation but we stayed cozy by the fire and the kids had a great time. On Halloween we went trick or treating- and Carter quickly decided he loved it and has learned the word "candy." Halloween night we watched Hocus Pocus and made a jack o lantern homemade chicken pot pie, which we decided is going to be our new Halloween dinner tradition.
