August 2016

Almost every weekend in August we were singing "Row row row your boat." We went to Herriman beach and took out our little raft. At first Jefferson was scared but after a while he got use to the little boat. He especially loved playing in the sand and water in the beach area.

We were able to go kayaking with some friends on Oquirrh lake and now we are secretly wishing we could move to daybreak, We had so much fun and it was so beautiful,

We have had an overabundance of zucchini and so have been visiting our neighbors and friends and sharing in our bounty. Who could resist a zucchini from this little guy.

School has started and we are getting back in the swing of things. Brad is teaching a few classes at UVU and quite enjoys it. I'm in my 11th year as a school psychologist, but if anyone asks I claim it is my 5th. (Don't want to feel too old.) We just celebrated the 2 year anniversary of living in our house and are getting used to the management of it all. We have visited Wheeler farm a few times this past month and Jefferson loves seeing the animals and making their noises. One of his favorite books is The Big Red Barn, so I take that with us and point out everything in the book in real life. He especially likes driving the tractor which reminds me of being a kid and driving the tractor in Wisconsin with my grandpa.

At the end of August Jefferson took a little fall and broke his arm. We had a scare it might be more serious because he hit his head and then a few days later got sick but the doctor has reassured us he will be just fine. So he has his first cast at 21 months. But he is a trooper and running around anyway and playing every chance he can. We are so grateful he is ok.
