October 2021

L.M Montgomery said it best- "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." This October put smiles on our faces from beginning to end. We started with picking pumpkins with our Jefferson family and decorating for Halloween. We did our annual day trip to Park City to see the leaves and got to see some Olympic trainers ski jumping into a pool. And it wouldn't be "the Park City" without a ride on the trolley and some ice cream on main street. Carter played in his first soccer game and loved it until he was asked to be goalie because he just wanted to run around. Jefferson had a fun run for school and the boys loved creating a band on mamas bed every morning during fall break. Carter has hit the stage where he has to do everything by himself- especially with getting dressed which makes every day inside out and backwards day. We had a fun day at the pumpkin patch by our house and picked out our baby pumpkins. Carter's new favorite past time is singing at the top of his lungs "rock and roll" while playing his "guitar" the orange pool noodle- conveniently also a lightsaber. We checked out Daybreak's ginormous pumpkin regatta and fall festival. Every closet in our house and craft room was organized- thank you Kenzer! Brad took a much needed trip and explored Arizona and the beautiful Navajo Reservation and said it was otherworldly. And to end the month our week of Halloween activities kept us busy decorating pumpkins our style- sticking eyes on and coloring pictures, eating the yummiest caramel apple while checking out the witches at Gardner Village, seeing Mario in the Halloween parade, Pop-pops birthday party/costume shoot, and trick or treat fun ending with our jack-o-lantern pot pie dinner. October really is the best!
