Why is it most September the lyrics "wake me up when September ends" runs through our heads. This was a rough September for our family with multiple sicknesses, struggling with potty training, Jefferson falling off the playground at school and breaking his wrist, and finally deciding to put a hold on Carter's potty training until we can figure out some medical things. We did manage to do some fun things though. We checked out the sidewalk chalk festival, had one last beach day, had some delicious ice cream at Maceys during the case lot sell, played in the rain, made a pom pom catapult, checked out the South Jordan fair, enjoyed the fall mountain colors at Oktoberfest, discovered the "bugup" workout, met some firefighters at our school district fall fair, and fed our neighborhood with zucchini from our garden. While its never fun to be sick we did have some fun times watching Star Wars- really all the star wars movies. Carter especially loves star wars and got the phrase "the force" confused with Forrest's name. So now when using the force he says "Forrest, Hannah, Jane, Inez, Blaine" to show he is using the force. One time we heard Carter playing pretend and saying "I'm playing Darth Vader" and "where are you master." And now everyday after Jefferson gets home from school a light saber fight must happen. September 2021 will definitely be remembered as the month of Star Wars for our family.
