November 2016

It seemed about time for family pictures:

November we celebrated Jefferson's birthday. 2 years old and loving every minute of it. We had his un-birthday party celebration with family and friends in July so for his birthday week we were able to just relax and do something fun each day. We went to the Museum and for the first time he went on the little ropes course and found the airplane- he would not leave the airplane he loved it so much!

We had pizza (Jefferson's favorite food) 3 nights in a row- unintentionally. We discovered the Train Shoppe and Jefferson and Dixie had a blast watching the trains and playing on the little moving rides.

And of course we got Jefferson's birthday ice cream from Baskin Robbins. He was so excited and ate every bit of ice cream- chocolate peanut butter this year with lots of mmmms along the way.

And on his birthday we went to the zoo with Dixie. He can say most all the animal sounds, but his favorite is the tiger. And we were lucky when we called, the tiger he walked out of his cave.

He was so excited with his bike and liked the "bike" ride up to see the ducks. It was a happy birthday week. He is 2 years old and has lots of words. He repeats whatever we say especially when he doesn't want something. "don't want to go to the park, don't want to eat stuffing" He makes us laugh everyday. When he is doing something naughty I give him my teacher look and he gives it right back to me and lowers his chin. My teacher look can get Brad to do things but not Jefferson- oh dear. He has this crazy habit of taking off his jamies at night- he likes the zipper. And any time we go anywhere in the car his shoes and socks come off. This is becoming more annoying as it is getting colder and snowier. All of my behavior management strategies seem to fail with this habit. He just has this impish side to him and gets a kick out of our reaction- mostly mine. He is starting to repeat numbers up to 10 and his ABCs- pero no en espanol. He asks for Dixie every day as well as Elmo. He still is blessing us with 1 long nap and sleeps 11 hour nights.

Thanksgiving was a long fun day with friends and family. It was different to be in Utah for Thanksgiving instead of Florida but the Thanksgiving Jello and homemade rolls made up for missing Orlando's sunshine. We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with mom and dad J. while helping to prepare the annual mashed potatoes. Jefferson got really excited when the Sesame Street characters came on.

And what's Autumn with out some décor...
