This August Carter had his first camping trip in Heber with our Jefferson family. Jefferson has campaigned not to smile in pictures so the impossible task of the month was trying to find pictures where he would smile. Other than that he has been the sweetest big brother and is our little helper. Carter is two months old and cuter than ever. He is about ten pounds and has a very easy-going personality. His brother and dad think it is funny that he snorts when he cries. Although he rarely cries, when he does he is a "wee whaler" and has thus earned the nickname of Captain Ahab. We had some friends visit and some fun beach days in the sun. Carter went swimming for the first time and is probably the youngest baby to go swimming and looked so cute in his lobster swimsuit. He just loves to float on his back. He is so relaxed. We have enjoyed the last bits of farmer's markets, concerts, and walks in the last days of summer with our two boys. And now we are looking forward to some cooler weather.
