February is not many people's favorite month because of the never ending winter and endless shoveling ahem (Brad). But I love February because of Valentines day and my birthday. I hate how Valentines day has become a marketing ploy and yet another consumer trap. It is a day to show and tell people you love them- that doesn't require any shopping if you ask me. We made bread and did finger paint valentines this year and had fun visiting and delivering our valentines.
February is also my birthday month. I feel so blessed and a little spoiled to have so many wonderful people in my life.
Dixie came over for her first sleepover with Jefferson. It was her reward for being potty trained. Way to go Dixie! They slept in the same room and giggle back and forth. They play so well together and Jefferson started trying to say her name the next morning. It sounds like D i.
We took Jefferson to his first Utah gymnastics meet. He liked it for about 20 minutes and then wanted to wander around the seats.
And Jefferson loves his new table and chairs. One of his favorite things is to look at books while sitting at his table. He started his little preschool 2 days a week this month and after a few minutes of crying when mama leaves he does great. His friend Jordi watches over him and pats his head if he is sad. He still goes by Goose (mama's nickname) and Duke (daddy's nickname). At his 15 month checkup he was proclaimed 50th percentile in all areas and growing like a champ. Still loves the ba ba ba game and says mama and da da and now d i (for his prima Dixie).
