July was full of visits with family and friends meeting our
little Carter. Carter has some firsts as
well. Tummy times. He even (no exaggeration) rolled over. But Brad thinks that is because he has no fat
on him. He is a strong little guy. A clockwork baby, eats every three hours,
which means we are in the land of little sleep.
Thank goodness it’s summer!
Jefferson is our little helper, running to pick up burp cloths, binkies,
bottles, and loves to be a “useful engine.”
Our zucchini has taken over our garden, and after a couple of weeks of
neglect we ended up with some huge zucchinis, that could possibly be considered
weapons. This year we were able to
celebrate the 24th of July with some old-school fireworks such as
sparklers and snaps. Jefferson loved the
sparklers and thought that they were magic wands. And as tradition dictates, we celebrated
Jefferson’s 4th unbirthday, with a big party with family and
friends. Brad made delicious carne asada
tacos and we had fun water games. Jefferson
still loves trains, so Mama made him a train cake. He got his very first big-boy bike for his unbirthday
and has been loving it. He can manage
peddling and is now working on breaking. Jefferson is loving being a big brother and he said, "I am Thomas and Carter is Percy" and wants him to grow up fast so that he can play. In the meantime we are loving our baby snuggles.
