We had a lovely busy Christmas season this year. It seemed like every week had some Christmas merriment. This year for the first time we went to the Kriskindle market and Jefferson and Dixie went to a gnome party. We saw Santa Claus quite a few times and each time Jefferson asked him for a candy cane or treat. He does not quite get the concept yet of asking for Christmas gifts. In our neighborhood sub for Santa Jefferson gave Santa a toy for another little boy- warmed my heart. We made a gingerbread house and train with grandparents. We went to a few Christmas parties and concerts and sang in some special musical numbers. We made our own arrangement of Away in a Manger with Brad accompanying on the guitar. We continued our annual tradition of seeing the giant gingerbread house and the lights downtown with our family. We broke from our Christmas cookie tradition because Aunt Marce couldn't be there and instead tried our hand at fudge. It was a success. And this year when we went caroling on Christmas Eve we had a little band with us. And then we puzzled and did some sledding until new years. Jefferson is 4 years old and now fully (knock on wood) potty trained- through the night. He is a little puzzler and is starting to discover the joy of legos and tinker toys. He plays very creatively and likes to create new things. He's a little helper shoveling snow and cooking and such a sweet big brother. Carter is 6 months old- still doing awesome sleeping through the night and very inquisitive with his toys and books and just about everything. Though he still prefers being cuddled to exploring his world. He is starting to get used to eating from a spoon and rolls over and scoots (on his back) like a champ.
