We are so happy we survived August! It started out great with making popsicles and Olympics fun. Jefferson won the swimming Olympics medal, Carter won the biking metal, Dada won the biggest splash, and Mama won the car race. We played Bingo to see how many events we could watch and were blown away by the high diving, surfing, and bmx racing, When we had to be inside because of all the smoke for a week, we checked out the Museum of Natural History and Seaquest. And then we had an end of summer road trip to Logan and The Golden Spike park. We went to the cache county fair with cousin Kiley and her family, checked out Aggie Creamery and then stayed the night in Paradise. The next day we played hide and go seek in an amazing playground and then headed out to Golden Spike. The boys loved the trains moving and dressed up as part of the re-enactment. On our way home we got lunch and peach shakes from Peach City in Brigham City. Yum! We met up with cousins for a last hurrah before school started and went to a Bees baseball game. Jefferson started 1st grade and got icecream with Dada to celebrate because Mama and Carter were sick. And then Jefferson got sick. Just a cold but no fun at all. Carter started potty training. What an experience. We are very grateful the rest of the summer was so fun because potty training was WORK and PATIENCE. But after a week or so Carter started showing some progress. It was a very different experience than with Jefferson. After everyone was feeling better we checked out the Fizz rocket the boys got for their birthday party and seeing it go higher than the house was fun for everyone.
