A month to reflect on gratitude is the best. We started the month with making our porch ready for fall. Then Dia de Los Muertos was celebrated at Jefferson's school with an ofrenda he made honoring his Grandpa Great. Grandma Great came to see it and it was the first time we have seen her out of her house for quite some time. While raking leaves we had a great little helper and one little player. Jefferson and Carter have been racing to finish dinner so they can "go camping" or "have a pizza party" with Carter's stuffed animal friends. And Brad and the boys formed a Saturday morning band. We had a successful family picture taken with our Jefferson family. Jefferson celebrated his 7th birthday with a fun filled week of birthday ice cream, picking out a birthday book, his 7 year old-tall measurement, birthday pancakes, birthday happy meal, and going to Scheels. Mary finished another super fun puzzle with lots of "help" from little boys. On Thanksgiving we played some football and then had dinner with our Dennis family. Carter found a perfect seat on cousin Brenden for racing cars. On Black Friday we decorated for Christmas. The boys wrote letters to Santa and we kicked off the Christmas season with a visit to Gardner Village to see Santa's Elves. Favorite Jeffersonism this month was Jefferson saying "you are never on task eating your ice cream mama!" and favorite Carterism when he was trying to make music "I'm playing my fingers." So much to be grateful for this holiday season.
