This November we had so much to be grateful for. Jefferson had his 8th birthday. Besides a fun birthday week of getting a birthday book, birthday ice cream, a family night at Scheels, and winning Risk against Brad, he ended the week with his baptism on his 8th birthday. It was so special and we are grateful for all the family and friends that showed their support. Mom came over to help decorate cookies for the baptism and Carter was my cookie helper. It was the biggest baking challenge I've ever taken on (Jefferson't request) but they turned out great and as Mom said "an act of love". Jefferson wanted to end his birthday with a ride on the train- always a train lover since he was a baby. Carter started swim lessons and is now consistently putting his head in without a fuss- progress! We discovered our library has a recording studio that can be reserved, so we had a family music jam. Carter went to a fun little birthday party and discovered he loves riding ponies. We had fun with cousins at guitar hero game night and the museums. And Carter impressed us all singing "Krytonite" at our friendsgiving. Thanksgiving we played some football and spent time with our Jefferson family. And of course we ended the month decorating for Christmas, writing letters to Santa, and visiting Santa's Elves. Mary finished the Mickey puzzles, so it is time for some Christmas puzzles. Carter keeps us laughing with his creative dressing up and imaginative play especially his Jim Acker (random baseball player) obsession. The funniest is when he uses his "bad guy" voice. Our favorite Carterisms this month were when riding the train he noticed alot of construction and said in surprise "there's a lot of broken houses." And when he said "I'm going to ask Santa for another bottle because grandma lost mine" we just about died laughing.
