April started with an April Fools trick on mama. Jefferson and Carter hid my pajamas and couldn't stop laughing, what a great way to start the month. We were lucky enough to get some sunny days so we could get going with all the spring yard work. Carter and Bella loved playing in the leaves. We were stunned when we took off Carter's training wheels that he learned to ride a bike in just a few tries- we were expecting it to be an end of summer goal. We got to go to a few baseball games- one of which the Bee's pulled off the greatest comeback and win in the bottom of the 9th inning, at first losing 7-2 and then getting 6 runs and winning. Bella had lots of puppy play dates and was quite popular her first visit to city creek. She has proven to be a great walker and completed her first walk up to the lake when she turned 6 months. She had her spay surgery the next day and is ready to be done recovering. We watched the championship March madness game and Brad won the bracket challenge. We had baseball week, pirate week, music week, and zoo week for mama school- not sure what we will do with all the time when Carter starts kindergarten. We got to see the Taylorsville Temple open house. And we were rewarded for all the soccer games and practices we attended with a spontaneous cousins sleep over so we got to have a couples weekend - keys on main and brunch were just what was needed. Our favorite Carter moment this month was when Carter noticed Brad's arm hair and said "Dada, did your hair fall on your arm?' and when we left the zoo after our zoo day with cousin Alec, Carter said "this was the best day of my life." And Jefferson made us proud when we found out he was student of the month at his school. Such great boys.
