February 2026

February was a blast it started with art night. The kids had a blast doing stamp art. Jefferson started an indoor soccer team and has had fun keeping up his soccer training. We had a day off school and made it an arcade day and had a blast. We celebrated valentines day at the Daybreak ice skating rink. Carter was determined to skate on his own. And on Presidents Day we saw our last Grizzlies game-a come back game that went into overtime, now ready for some Mammoths games. It so fun to see the boys get so into sports. We finally celebrated new years on Chinese New Year and set our goals for the year: Carter- learn football, Jefferson- learn how to roller blade, Mary & Brad- try to keep up a date each week, and of course manage our remodel. The boys were excited to finally get a snowstorm to go sledding- though not much snow. They decided the best way to go down the hill is standing on the sled- looks like they are ready for snow boarding. We decorated the boys school with lots of flowers for Kindness Week and we played kindness bingo- so fun to hear Carter tell pop pop why he appreciates him and hear Carter give grandma a compliment. We tried out curling at the Olympic Oval- Jefferson did the best. We had a blast at the Jr. Jazz All Star game watching  U of U and BYU football quarterbacks compete and seeing a dunk team.  And of course we celebrated Mary's birthday- pick ball, Old Spaghetti Factory dinner, cupcakes, and the boys taking the time to put together a gift for their mama. Carter was the star this month with math and can now jump one handed on his pogo stick. He made us laugh when he said "mama you do portugese 2s" because he did not like the loop at the bottom.
