April 2024

April started with an April Fools trick on mama. Jefferson and Carter hid my pajamas and couldn't stop laughing, what a great way to start the month. We were lucky enough to get some sunny days so we could get going with all the spring yard work. Carter and Bella loved playing in the leaves. We were stunned when we took off Carter's training wheels that he learned to ride a bike in just a few tries- we were expecting it to be an end of summer goal. We got to go to a few baseball games- one of which the Bee's pulled off the greatest comeback and win in the bottom of the 9th inning,  at first losing 7-2 and then getting 6 runs and winning. Bella had lots of puppy play dates and was quite popular her first visit to city creek. She has proven to be a great walker and completed her first walk up to the lake when she turned 6 months. She had her spay surgery the next day and is ready to be done recovering. We watched the championship March madness game and Brad won the bracket challenge. We had baseball week, pirate week, music week, and zoo week for mama school- not sure what we will do with all the time when Carter starts kindergarten. We got to see the Taylorsville Temple open house. And we were rewarded for all the soccer games and practices we attended with a spontaneous cousins sleep over so we got to have a couples weekend - keys on main and brunch were just what was needed. Our favorite Carter moment this month was when Carter noticed Brad's arm hair and said "Dada, did your hair fall on your arm?' and when we left the zoo after our zoo day with cousin Alec, Carter said "this was the best day of my life." And Jefferson made us proud when we found out he was student of the month at his school. Such great boys.

March 2024

This March we made it to a few sporting events- basketball and hockey. Both exciting games, and the boys are great ages to sit and intently watch for hours. The Stars basketball game was especially fun because the boys got balloon light sabers and every time the Stars got a 3 pointers they would point them in the air, they made it on the jumbotron 5 times! We had basketball week for mama school and played an exciting family bball game with Bella watching on the sidelines. We didn't forget about Pie day, Brad made a delicious banana cream pie and we had our favorite pizza. We celebrated St. Patricks day with Irish punk rock, a Leprechaun hunt with friends, and our Jefferson family St. Patties dinner. The kids went sledding one last time. Carter had a pizza party with all of his stuffies. We took Carter on a special mama dada date to the arcade and played an intense game of air hockey. We finished the Harry Potter puzzle with 1 missing piece (we will blame it on Bella). We decorated for Easter and made our March madness brackets- Jefferson cheered on Duke (his nickname). We staycationed for spring break and went to the dinosaur museum with friends, miniature golfing, bowling, the movies, xtreme sports, go carting, swimming, to the space museum, and ended spring break with The Pie- the boy's favorite pizza place. For Easter we made dinosaur eggs, watched The Easter Parade (Carter surprisingly liked), had the Jefferson family easter egg hunt, got a family pic after church, found easter baskets, and had a lovely dinner with Mom and Dad Dennis. The boys loved their chocolate frogs and HP collector cards- though they are still in search of Rowena Ravenclaw and they loved the little building pieces in the egg hunt this year- played for almost 2 hours building different things. Bella is 5 months old and 6 lbs. She is doing so great, her favorite game to play now is keep away with the boys. She is such a fun addition to our family!
