A Musical Thanksgiving

This year we enjoyed our Thanksgiving with the Dennis family. We were so happy to see Cam and Babette and their family who came from California, Stacy who came from Switzerland, and the rest of the Utah Dennis family. Mom Dennis took all of us girls out to lunch the day before Thanksgiving to the Provo favorite-Brick Oven. Having gone to BYU I knew the Brick Oven was famous for it's Pizza. So surprisingly, Babbette and I (the two in laws) were the only ones that got pizza. The Dennis girls all raved about the salad bar. We giggled the afternoon away as we told our husbands funny stories- I don't know if they would think they are so funny. While I was down there they all helped me with a special present for Brad. I will post a picture of it when I am done. I just love these ladies and how they have welcomed me into the family.

On Thanksgiving we had the special job of making the potatoes- though I just peeled. Here is Brad madly mashing.

We played lots of games including a few new ones- Mastermind (too advanced for me) and Rook- with bids and all. Here is Syd out masterminding her dad!

Brad taught "The Rogue" some chords on the guitar. "The Rogue" impressed us with his knowledge of 80s music. Brad-loving this era- then played 80s songs we yelled out.

Syd made some fun and yummy place settings.

Stacy (who somehow avoided the camera yet again) made a fun and tasty 7 layer jello salad. Here is Fightin Cassius Clay holding up 7 fingers by it.

We had a delicous meal complete with apple, pumpkin, and banana cream pie

And then ended the evening with some musical entertainment. Brad rocked out his new Christmas arrangement

Cam played his arrangement to What Child is This while Mom Dennis sang

And Babette accompanied Hayden, Syd, and Clay while they sang and acted The Latter day Prophets song. Since when can a 4 year old name all of the the latter day prophets!

Afterward Clay entertained us with interpretive dance we will never forget. What fun!

The next day we put up Christmas. We have few but precious decorations. This one reminds me of my great grandparents.

Our home is so cozy with a Christmas Tree decorated

and all lit up.

What a perfect time of year!
