May 2017

May was our marathon of travel and getting ready to travel. Brad and I both got to go on the Scotland Wales tour his dad put together and has done for quite a number of year. There were two tours and Brad went on the first as the assistant tour director and I went on the second along with my parents. Between the 2 tours we were gone and didn't see each other for 4 weeks. So we both got a lot of one on one time with Jefferson.

Jefferson got his 2nd haircut and did great one again.

After 15 years of the same brown to cover my gray I took a plunge and put some blond highlight in my hair and I'm still adjusting.

We had plenty of park time and Jefferson's new favorite playground activity in the seesaw.

"Ice Cream Kenna" came over and helped us with some projects and helped me make Brad's birthday gift.

Angie and Dixie had a sleepover with us and we found the fairy tree in our neighborhood.

Jefferson had his first official big boy train ride and we met Dixie and Angie and went to Living Traditions. He was so excited to be on the train and kept his arm up looking out the window most the right. He got especially excited when any other train came by.

When Brad came home we had 2 days before I left for Europe so we celebrated his birthday and gave him a pin board map of the world so he can mark all of the places he has traveled in his life. We found a very authentic Italian restaurant for his birthday dinner and we sat outside enjoying the night and it reminded us of dinners in Italy.

And while I was gone these two boys played and played. Jefferson is 2 1/2 years old and busy busy. He loves loves trains, tunnels, cars, finding jeeps, and his favorite food is still pizza. He is doing the toddler thing and asking for something then saying he does not want it then saying he does and on and on- mostly to delay bedtime. He loves going to the gym with mama and in the car we he sings his ABC and counts to 20 in English and Spanish. He is really liking counting things as well and likes to help mama take care of our garden plants and cover them when it gets cold and give them "drinks" when it gets hot.
