September started off with our 5 year old going to Kindergarten. Mama got all of her tears out after preschool graduation so the first day was a little less emotional. Jefferson got right in line with his class, waved goodbye to mama and dada and walked into the school. He did so great and asked if he gets to sleep at kindergarten. And every day since he has been excited to go and tells us about new friends and recess games. We celebrated the first day with ice cream after school. Grandma Great had her 90th birthday and we created the "Hedbon Family Crossword" for her (170 names and clues of her family). We enjoyed the last warm days with picnics and playing in our little boat. Cousin Forrest came for a sleep over and he and Jefferson made a marble olympics in our garage that has been one of the new favorite toys. We did lots of harvesting and canning this month and the boys were great apple and tomato pickers. We discovered our basement kitchen is perfect for canning. Brad and I welcomed in fall with a beautiful date hike to Lake Blanche. Beautiful! We discovered our boys LOVE basketball- especially Carter. He will throw his ball up like the basketball players when he watches them and is very upset if he doesn't have a ball when a basketball game is on. Carter also graduated to sleeping (most the time now) in Jefferson's room in the big crib. He is saying more and more words every day. Our favorite Jeffersonisms "Carter just follows me around everywhere..." and "Mama, I'm younger than you." and "Carter you have to follow the rules- rule number 1- listen when someone else is talking and don't interrupt." They keep us laughing every day.
