August 2022

This last month of summer fun kept us busy until we were hit with a crazy flu virus (not covid) that wiped us out for a couple weeks. Thankfully we hit the last items on our bucket list before we all got sick. We had a fun day at Splash Summit and Jefferson went on the half pipe slide for the first time which he then declared to be his favorite. Brad and I did our annual back packing trip to "our spot" up the canyon where the meditation views are spectacular and played scrabble uninterrupted with Brad getting the best word ever- Equalizer and taking the win! We got to see Imagine Dragons which was the coolest concert ever complete with fireworks and a light show we were apart of. The boys had their unbirthday party this year celebrating 4 years for Carter and 7 years for Jefferson. This year they chose Star Wars as the theme and so we had a huge lightsaber fight and Jedi training. This year the weather did not cooperate so we were stuck inside but everyone had a great time. Before we got hit by the crazy flu virus, Carter got pink eye so we had some stay days filled with at home pool time, water fights, and digging for gems. And our last summer adventure was going to the space museum and finding the best birria in Utah. Carter started his first soccer season. He was so excited even though his parents were crazy medicated. Jefferson started 2nd grade and is happy with it all. Carter created yet another drum set and celebrated Jefferson being at school with his own rock concert. Jefferson loves his soccer team and even got a goal his first game. And our last August adventure after we were all healthy was going on a hike with grandma and pop pop. Even though sickness hit our home we are grateful we still got to have summer fun this month.
